This contract is written for the protection of both Em’s Goldens and the Buyer. However, it is primarily written to protect the health and general well-being of said puppy/dog.
Please be certain that you are ready for the time commitment and financial responsibility of a puppy prior to putting a deposit on one!

Payment & Puppy Selection
A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $500 will hold Buyers spot. Spots are reserved in the order in which deposits are received (IN HAND or when the transaction clears). This deposit will be applied towards the full purchase price of said puppy/dog. The remaining amount is due when said puppy/dog is 7 weeks of age.
Buyers must choose desired gender (male or female) at the time deposit is paid.
Payments are accept via Venmo, (emsgoldens@gmail.com), Cashier’s check (payable to Emily Vereecke), or via Cash (ONLY if delivered in person). If using Venmo please choose friends and family or add 3% of total being sent.
Buyer understands that puppies should be chosen based on personality not physical appearance. Therefore, Buyer agrees that Em’s Goldens will help choose the puppy that will best match the Buyer and their family. This is done when the puppies are 7 weeks of age.

Picking up / Delivery
Buyer is expected to pick up said puppy/dog on scheduled go home day, when puppies are between 8 and 9 weeks of age. Starting at 9 weeks of age, a daily boarding fee of $25/day will be charged until he/she is picked up.
If Buyer chooses to have said puppy/dog delivered, Em’s Goldens will work together with the Buyer and/or third party transport service to arrange transport when the puppy is between 8 and 9 weeks of age, depending on availability. If Buyer requests delivery after 9 weeks of age, a daily boarding fee of $25/day will be charged until said puppy/dog is delivered. If using a third-party transportation service to have said puppy/dog transported, said puppy/dog is no longer under the watchful care of Em’s Goldens, therefore Em’s Goldens is not held responsible for anything that may happen to said puppy/dog once he/she is handed over to the transportation service personnel.
If said puppy/dog is purchased after 8 weeks of age, Buyer must wait until payment clears before pick up/delivery of the puppy/dog or pay in cash at pick up.

Buyer’s Responsibility
Buyer agrees to keep said puppy/dog as part of the family, in the home and to provide said puppy/dog with high quality diet, medical care when needed, age appropriate mental and physical exercise, and proper training.
Buyer understands while said puppy/dog is under 2 years of age he/she has greater risk of permanent damage to bones and joints due to injury or over exertion. Therefor Buyer agrees to only provide said puppy/dog appropriate physical exercise and avoid physical activities that are not age-appropriate. Please see Avi Dog's fit for Life program or the exercise chapter in your puppy folder for appropriate activities.
Em’s Goldens reserves the right to reclaim said puppy/dog with no monetary refund if Buyer is neglecting to provide said puppy/dog with these requirements.
Buyer agrees if at any point in said puppy/dog’s life Buyer can no longer keep said puppy/dog, Buyer will return said puppy/dog to Em’s Goldens (without monetary refund) or work with Em’s Goldens to find said puppy/dog a home.
If Buyer sells/re-homes said puppy/dog without contacting Em’s Goldens, Buyer will be charged $10,000.00 breach of contract fee. Buyer is subject to legal action, and if Em’s Goldens must resort to litigation, Buyer agrees to pay all court cost as well.
In the event of death of the Buyer, Em’s Goldens will assume the Buyer’s family member’s will be keeping said puppy/dog as a pet if so desired. The Buyers family member that will be keeping said puppy/dog will need to notify Em’s Goldens so that records may be updated. The family member that will be keeping said puppy/dog will need to agree to the terms in this contract and will sign a contract with Em’s Goldens.

Spay/Neuter
Buyer agrees that said puppy/dog is being sold as a high quality pet and will not allow said puppy/dog to be bred. Buyer agrees to have said puppy/dog spayed/neutered by 24 NO SOONER THAN 18 MONTHS OF AGE.
Buyer understands that it is in the best interest of said puppy/dog to wait to spay/ neuter said puppy/dog until he/she is over 18 months of age.
(If Female) Buyer agrees not to spay said puppy/dog until said puppy/dog has had at least one heat cycle and is over 18 months of age.
If said puppy/dog is ever bred whether planned or by accident, the Buyer will be assessed a $15,000.00 breach of contract fee per breeding/mating. If said puppy/dog is bred, the Buyer is subject to legal action, and if Em’s Goldens must resort to litigation, the Buyer agrees to pay all court costs as well.

Titer Testing
Buyer agrees to only vaccinate said dog/puppy after it has been proven to be needed by a titer testing. The only exception is the rabies vaccine as required by state law.

Health Guarantee
Em’s Goldens guarantees that said puppy/dog has been seen by a licensed veterinarian and is healthy/ free of parasites with no signs of health problems at the time said puppy/dog leaves Em’s Goldens.
Em’s Goldens has done everything in their power to provide said puppy/dog with the best possible health, by carefully selecting parents that have been health tested, by weaning puppies onto a high-quality balanced raw diet, by providing said puppy/dog with appropriate exercise and activity and by providing Buyer with information on proper diet, exercise, handling and overall care.
Buyer understands that there are many factor’s that affect the development and overall health of a dog. Therefore Em’s Goldens cannot guarantee final health results of said puppy/dog.

Updating & Keeping in touch
Buyer agrees to send updated pictures/videos and give updates of said puppy/dog yearly.
Buyer agrees to let Em’s Goldens know of any accomplishments or health issues that said puppy/dog may acquire.
Buyer agrees to update Em’s Goldens of any address or contact information changes.

Coat Color, Size, & Temperament
Buyer understands that Em’s Goldens cannot guarantee the final size, coat color, energy level or temperament of said puppy/dog.

Contract Breach
If Buyer fails to abide to this contract in its entirety Buyer will be assessed a $15,000.00 breach of contract fee. Buyer is subject to legal action, and if Em’s Goldens must resort to litigation, the Buyer agrees to pay all court costs as well.

If prior to the placement of said puppy/dog, Em’s Goldens thinks placement with the Buyer is not in the best interest of said dog/Buyer (i.e. falsification of application, inability to care for dog, or any other reason), Em’s Goldens may void the contract.
