Thank you for your patience and understanding!
The things you do or don't do in the first year of your puppy's life can define the way he/she thinks and acts as an adult.
There is nothing better than to be in the presence of a well trained golden retriever! These dog's are amazing but it does take some work to get the perfect dog.
While there are many factors that play into the health of a dog, Diet is definitely a big one.
I have been feeding my dogs a balanced raw diet since 2009 and LOVE the benefits of a balanced raw diet.
Golden's are well known for their heart of gold and their amazing ability to become a member of the family and not just a dog. Unfortunately they are also known for their high cancer rate.
There are things you can do to help reduce health issues.
Golden's were originally bred as a hunting dog. Most golden's still have a prey drive, a passion for retrieving, a love for water, and the ability to occasionally outsmart their owners. Providing you golden with appropriate mental and physical exercise will not only add to the health and well being of your golden but also strengthen your bond.
Keeping your golden well groomed does not only make him/her look their best, it is also good for their overall health.
