Listed below are examples of three different meals I use with my pack. These recipes were formulated by Ronnie a certified canine nutritionist.
Each of these recipes makes a 1,000 calorie meal. These meals are the average size one of my dogs will eat in a day. With that said, I do have to adjust the size of the meal according to my individual dogs and their activity level. For example, my older girl gets a smaller meal since she is not burning quite as many calories as my younger more active dogs. Also, some boys require more calories just because they are a bit larger.
If you find your dog does not need the full 1,000 calories per meal or requires more than a thousand calories per meal. I recommend mixing all the ingredients together then dividing them up into individual meal sizes for your dog.

For puppies under 4 months old, I recommend feeding all ingredients ground. If you cannot find a source for ground chicken quarters, chicken feet or chicken backs, then look at getting a small meat grinder rated for grinding small bones. I know there's a bit for the initial investment but in the long run you will save lots of money by grinding these yourself.
After puppies have gone through their teething, you may decide to feed some of the ingredients without grinding them up. If you find that your puppy /dog is gulping things down too quickly, you may prefer to feed them Frozen.
Most of these ingredients you can find through your local butcher shop or grocery store. I also order several of my ingredients through Amazon including canned oysters, kelp powder, vitamin e oil and flax seeds. There are only two ingredients I have not been able to find through these sources and that is beef spleen and green beef tripe. You may be able to find these at a local pet boutique or you can order them through a raw pet food company such as my pet carnivore.
Please know these recipes are our formulated as balance stress recipes, however, if you alter the ingredients, The recipe would no longer be considered balanced.
I alternate between three different recipes because although each recipe is considered complete and balanced, the more variety you provide, the more diverse your dog's microbiome will be in their gut and the healthier they will be overall.
I also like to add toppers to their meals. These are typically one or two by ingredients that just add a little variety to the meal but or not considered part of the meal. Think of it more like a dessert. I like to use things like a raw scallop, freeze-dried rabbit ear, freeze-dried green lipid muscle, or any other fun ingredients I find that can add diversity to their meals.
